Privacy Policy

Effective August 12, 2026

This policy covers ellementsalign.com and the Brand New Thoughts Community Scroll that runs on it, both operated by Entertaining Ellements (“we”, “us”). It explains what we collect, why, who else sees it, and how to make us delete it.

The short version: we collect what an account and a paid submission actually require, we do not sell your information, and you can have your account and your submissions removed by asking.

1. What we collect

Things you give us

  • Account details. Your email address, and a display name, handle, short bio and avatar if you set them. If you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and basic profile information from Google. We never receive your Google password.
  • What you submit. Ticker messages, photos, artwork, call-in avatar images, idea-board cards, comments, forum posts and poll answers. Anything submitted for broadcast is intended to be shown publicly, on air and in the public gallery.
  • Payment details. Purchases are processed by Stripe. Stripe handles your card details directly and we never see or store your full card number. We receive a confirmation, the amount, and a token identifying the transaction.
  • Anything you email us, including early-access and sponsorship enquiries.

Things collected automatically

  • Server and security logs kept by our hosting and database providers, which include IP address, browser user agent, and the pages requested.
  • Aggregate traffic measurement: page views, referring site, approximate country, and device type. We use this to know which articles people read. It is reported to us in aggregate, not as a profile of you.
  • Abuse limits. To stop one person voting in a poll a hundred times, we store a marker in your own browser and rate-limit by request. This is not used to identify you.

What we do not collect

We do not ask for your date of birth, phone number, physical address or any government identifier. We do not buy personal information about you from data brokers.

2. How we use it

  • To create and run your account, and to keep you signed in.
  • To show your submission on air and in the community gallery, which is the service you are paying for.
  • To take payment, credit your Ments balance and keep a record of the purchase.
  • To moderate. A producer reviews submissions before they reach the broadcast, and we act on reports of abusive content.
  • To reply to you when you write to us.
  • To understand which articles and shows people actually watch, so we make more of what works.
  • To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We do not use your submissions to train machine-learning models, and we do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.

3. Cookies and local storage

We keep your sign-in session in your browser’s local storage rather than in a tracking cookie. Clearing your browser data signs you out.

Third parties we rely on may set their own cookies: Google when you sign in with a Google account, Stripe during checkout, and YouTube if you press play on an embedded video. Video embeds load from youtube-nocookie.com and only after you click, so a page you merely scroll past does not hand YouTube a cookie.

4. Advertising

We may show advertising on articles, served by Google AdSense. Where we do, the following applies:

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
  • Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet.
  • You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies at aboutads.info/choices or optout.networkadvertising.org.
  • We do not give advertisers your email address, your account, or the contents of anything you submitted.

5. Who we share information with

We share only what each of these needs to do its job, and none of them are permitted to use your information for their own marketing:

  • Supabase — database, authentication and file storage. Everything you submit is stored there.
  • Lovable — application hosting and aggregate traffic measurement.
  • Stripe — payment processing. Governed by Stripe’s own privacy policy.
  • Google — sign-in, and advertising and search reporting where enabled.
  • YouTube — when you play an embedded episode.

We will also disclose information if we are legally required to, or where it is necessary to investigate fraud or a threat to someone’s safety.

Public by design

Some things are public because that is the point of them: your handle, display name, avatar and bio on your profile page; artwork and messages accepted into the broadcast or the gallery; and comments on articles. Forum threads are visible only to signed-in members. Treat anything you submit for broadcast as permanently public, because once it has aired it may exist in recordings and in other people’s screenshots that we cannot recall.

6. How long we keep it

Account and profile information is kept while your account exists. Submissions and their moderation history are kept while they are on the site. Payment records are kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require, which is generally seven years. Aggregate traffic statistics are kept indefinitely because they identify nobody.

7. Your rights

Whatever jurisdiction you are in, you can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or send you a copy. Write to lacedmediacorp@gmail.com from the email address on the account and we will act within 30 days.

If you are in California, the CCPA gives you the rights above plus the right not to be discriminated against for using them. We do not sell personal information, so there is no sale to opt out of. If you are in the UK or the EU, the UK GDPR and GDPR give you those rights plus the right to object to processing and to complain to your data protection authority; we process your information to perform our contract with you, to meet legal obligations, and on the basis of our legitimate interest in running and securing the site.

8. Children

This site is not for children. You must be at least 13 to hold an account, at least 16 in the UK and EU, and at least 18 to make a purchase or to enter payment details. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, write to us and we will delete it.

9. Security and location

Data is encrypted in transit. Access to the production database is limited to the site’s operator. No system is perfect, and we do not claim otherwise. Our providers store and process data in the United States, so if you are outside the US your information will be transferred there.

10. Changes

We will update this page when what we do changes, and the effective date at the top will move. Material changes will be announced on the site.
